Relief tracks are used to reduce the stress on the chain rollers around the upper deflection curve. This deflection and the redirection of the chain generates the greatest loads on the escalator, a combination of its own weight and that of the passengers.
In order to reduce the burden on the chain rollers, the relief track guides the chain over the chain bushes around the deflection area.
Originally, relief tracks were either made from elastic materials mounted on a metal substructure or from a steel-elastomer-steel construction designed to enhance load-bearing capacity and provide good damping.
Made from PAS-C60 L – an oil-lubricated cast polyamide – our tracks deliver a combination of high load-bearing capacity and sufficient damping. The oil additive helps to increase safety, as this ensures low-wear operation even in the event of rust blocking the chain bushes.
- Highly resilient
- Good damping properties
- High wear resistance
- Emergency running properties
