Hard (AT). The faigle Group – a leading supplier of engineering plastics solutions and heavy-duty components for industry – has announced the appointment of Friedrich Faigle (40) as CEO. He succeeds his father Wolfgang who has handed over control of the business to the third generation of the Faigle family after 40 years of dedicated and pioneering leadership.
Based in Vorarlberg and with four sites in Austria, Switzerland and China, the faigle Group has close to eight decades of experience in plastics technology. It is an international technology leader and one of the world’s top plastics experts. On 1 January the Group completed a generational shift that has been years in the making, with Friedrich Faigle assuming his father Wolfgang’s responsibilities and taking over as the Group’s new CEO. Wolfgang Faigle will continue to be involved in the company’s strategic development in the coming years as a member of the Supervisory Board. This will also enable him to carry on sharing his extensive experience of technology development and innovation. “I’m absolutely delighted that Friedrich is following in my footsteps and has taken over the reins at our family’s business. We achieved a lot together over the past few years – and this handover will allow us to maintain our unswerving focus on the path ahead as an innovative family firm, as well as ensuring continuity for our customers and partners,” Wolfgang Faigle explained.
Friedrich Faigle – a decade of experience to his name at faigle
Most recently the Group’s COO, Friedrich Faigle has held a variety of specialist and senior management positions at the company over the past ten years. Before joining faigle, he gained international experience at a number of consulting and industrial companies. He has degrees in business administration from the University of St. Gallen and the London School of Economics. “I’m absolutely thrilled to have taken on this position and all the responsibilities that come with it. I’m looking forward to breaking new ground with my highly motivated team, while also building on our tried-and-tested approaches, based on the foundations provided by our innovation and long-standing tradition,” Friedrich Faigle commented.
