The faigle Group enjoyed a highly successful year in 2021. Revenue reached EUR 83m, a 16% increase year on year and the highest level since the company was set up in 1947. The plastics specialist brought several newly developed products onto the market, and supply reliability for faigle customers remained at 100% in spite of the problems caused by the pandemic.
Financial 2021 posed serious challenges for the faigle Group, which has a total of four sites in Austria, Switzerland and China. However, thanks to its strong focus on strategic growth segments, the Group adapted effectively to changing circumstances. “Above all, we’re delighted to have launched new product developments under such difficult market conditions,” explained faigle Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) Friedrich Faigle. The company also achieved full supply reliability throughout the year.
Organic growth
The Group’s determined efforts were reflected in its results: faigle reported consolidated revenue of EUR 83m in 2021, up from EUR 70.5m a year earlier, thanks mainly to organic growth. faigle’s four production sites – faigle Kunststoffe GmbH in Hard (Austria); faigle Industrieplast GmbH, also located in Hard; faigle Igoplast AG in Au (Switzerland); and Suzhou faigle Engineering Plastics Co., Ltd in Suzhou (China) – currently employ a total of around 400 people. “On behalf of the entire senior management team, I would like to thank all of our employees for their outstanding commitment, and for going the extra mile over the past couple of years. I’m very pleased that we have been able to preserve our culture of mutual respect, and that we have all found the job rewarding – which I hope will continue in the year ahead,” said Friedrich Faigle.
New developments in several businesses
faigle launched a number of new products in the lifts segment in 2021, including new roller guide systems, as well as a sliding guide system for lifts which is made entirely of plastic. The Group is working on a range of new developments for the intralogistics industry – its latest innovations will be presented at the LogiMAT fair in Stuttgart at the end of May 2022. faigle is also looking to expand its digital offerings at the product and service levels, as well as in terms of distribution channels.
